A content creator is not your photographer
Your photographer is making the album. That work is careful, it is horizontal, and it arrives in six weeks. All of which is correct, and none of which helps you on the night the event is actually happening.
We do the other job. Vertical, fast, and built for the phone: stories going up while the room is still full, and the recap reel back within a day or two while everyone who was there is still talking about it and everyone who was not is still curious.
The two roles work together and neither replaces the other. We stay out of your photographer's frame, coordinate the timeline with them in advance, and never compete for the same moment.
What we cover
- Big private parties Milestone birthdays, engagements, anniversaries, quinceaneras, bar and bat mitzvahs, and the parties that took eight months to plan and deserve more than guest phone footage.
- Brand launches and pop-ups Product launches, store openings, activations, and press nights, where the entire point is the content that comes out of it.
- Corporate events and galas Conferences, award nights, fundraisers, and company celebrations, covered for both the brand account and the internal audience.
- Live story coverage Posted to your account or the host's during the event, so the people who could not come are watching it happen.
- Next-day recap reel The edit that carries the event afterwards, cut vertical and sized for reels, stories, and TikTok.
- Drone coverage For estates, venues, rooftops, and outdoor events, the Aerial package adds the establishing shot that makes the scale of the night obvious.
How a night usually runs
Before. We walk the venue or review it with your planner, agree the timeline and the non-negotiable moments, confirm who is posting to which account, and clear drone airspace if we are flying. If there are guests who must not be posted, we get that list in advance rather than discovering it afterwards.
Setup and arrivals. The room before anyone touches it is some of the most valuable footage of the night and it exists for about twenty minutes. Details, tablescapes, florals, signage, the bar, the light. Then arrivals and the first hour, when everyone looks their best and the energy is easy to read.
The event. Speeches, the first dance, the cake, the reveal, the set, whatever the night is actually built around. We shoot for the vertical crop from the start, which is a different set of positions than a horizontal shooter takes.
Live and after. Stories go up through the night. The recap reel follows within a day or two, and the full set of clips comes with it so you can keep posting from the night for weeks.
Los Angeles venues and the airspace question
We work across LA County and travel for events: Malibu, Ojai, Santa Barbara, Temecula, Orange County, and Palm Springs are all normal for us. Most large private events end up in one of a handful of settings, and each has a wrinkle worth planning for.
Estates and private homes in the Hills, Malibu, and Hidden Hills. Beautiful, and often the strongest case for drone coverage, since the property is the story. Airspace and the neighbors both need checking in advance.
Hotels and ballrooms across Beverly Hills, Downtown, and the Westside. Controlled, predictable, and lighting-dependent, which is where the camera package pays for itself.
Rooftops and industrial venues in Downtown and the Arts District. Scale is the selling point and it is nearly impossible to convey from inside the room.
Outdoor and coastal venues in Malibu, Palos Verdes, and the canyons. Light moves fast at golden hour, so the shot list is planned around the sun rather than the schedule.
Drone flights need clearing first. Much of the Westside and the Valley sits inside controlled airspace around LAX, Santa Monica, Van Nuys, Burbank, and Hawthorne, and some venues and parks prohibit flights regardless of airspace. We check both before the date and tell you honestly if we cannot fly.
Weddings are their own thing
We cover weddings too, and they run on a different plan: a longer day, a getting-ready block, a different relationship with the photo and video team, and a much tighter turnaround expectation on the first reel. Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between you and our photographer or videographer?
Your photographer is making the album: careful, horizontal, and delivered in weeks. We make the social content: vertical, fast, stories posted live during the event, and a recap reel back within a day or two. Both roles are useful and neither replaces the other. We coordinate with your photo and video team in advance and stay out of their frames.
How fast do we get the content?
Stories go up during the event itself. The recap reel typically lands within 24 to 48 hours, while people are still talking about the night, and the full clip set comes with it so you can keep posting from the event for weeks afterwards.
What kinds of events do you cover?
Large private parties, milestone birthdays, engagements, anniversaries, quinceaneras, bar and bat mitzvahs, brand launches and pop-ups, store openings, activations and press nights, conferences, award nights, galas, and fundraisers. Weddings are covered on a separate plan.
Can you post to our account during the event?
Yes, and it is usually the right call. We agree beforehand which account is posting, get access set up in advance, and follow whatever approval process you want during the night. Some hosts want everything cleared first, others hand us the account. Either works.
Do you fly a drone at events?
In the Aerial package, yes, where the venue and the airspace allow it. Much of Los Angeles sits inside controlled airspace around LAX, Santa Monica, Van Nuys, Burbank, and Hawthorne, and some venues and parks prohibit flights outright. We check both before the date and tell you honestly if the location cannot be flown.
Do you travel outside Los Angeles?
Yes. Malibu, Ojai, Santa Barbara, Temecula, Orange County, and Palm Springs are all normal for us, and we travel further for the right event. Travel beyond about an hour from Downtown LA is quoted with the event.
How do we make sure certain guests are not posted?
Give us the list beforehand. We plan around it during the night rather than trying to fix it in the edit, and anything a guest objects to afterwards comes down without argument.
How much does event coverage cost?
We quote per event, because the number depends on how long we are there, how many people are shooting, whether drone coverage is included, and how fast you need the recap. Send us the date, the venue, and the run of show and you get a written quote, usually within one business day.
