Social media agency in West Hollywood
Nightlife on one clock, beauty and design on another. WeHo is the one part of the city where we regularly run two completely different content rhythms in the same week.
Two markets sharing a zip code
West Hollywood is really two businesses stacked on top of each other. There is the Sunset Strip and Santa Monica Boulevard nightlife economy, which runs on a seven day clock where Saturday's footage is worth a lot on Sunday and nothing by Wednesday. And there is the daytime economy of salons, med spas, boutique fitness, restaurants, and the design showrooms around the Pacific Design Center, which runs on ordinary monthly production.
They need opposite things. Nightlife needs speed and volume. Design and aesthetics need control and polish. We run both here, and for venues that do daytime service as well as late nights, we often run both on the same account.
Who we shoot here
- Nightlife and bars The Strip and Santa Monica Boulevard. Night-of coverage, stories through the night, and a recap that lands while the night still sells the next one. See nightlife.
- Salons, barbers, and beauty Some of the densest beauty retail in the county. Transformation content, stylist personal brand, and the chair-side footage that fills a book.
- Med spas and injectors A younger, more experimental client base than Beverly Hills, and a market where practitioner personality carries more weight than institutional polish.
- Restaurants and cafes Patio-heavy, brunch-heavy, and unusually design-conscious. The room is often as much of the draw as the menu.
- Design and showrooms Around the Pacific Design Center. Product, materials, and the slow detail work that sells a specification.
- Boutique fitness Class businesses where an empty 7pm is a marketing problem, not a demand problem.
Shooting the Strip after dark
Most bad nightlife content is a lighting failure rather than a creative one. Phones handle a dim room by pushing sensitivity until faces turn to noise, and the house LEDs push everything green. The result makes a good night look like a bad one.
We shoot venues on fast prime lenses and full-frame sensors that hold detail at the light levels you actually run, with a small on-camera source used sparingly so people look lit rather than interrogated, and we correct color in the grade. Phone coverage still runs alongside it for stories, where immediacy beats polish.
WeHo is its own city, with its own rules
West Hollywood is a separate municipality from Los Angeles with its own film permit office, its own rules, and its own enforcement, which surprises people who assume LA County permits cover it. As with the rest of our work, this rarely bites, because we shoot inside your venue, salon, or showroom rather than on the street.
Drone is the exception worth planning. The Strip is dense, low-flying, and heavily residential immediately behind the commercial frontage. Exterior aerials of a venue are frequently achievable and always need clearing first.
Which package fits
Most WeHo clients run a mix. Native carries stories, daytime volume, and the immediacy nightlife wants. Studio carries anything shot after dark, salon transformation work where color accuracy actually matters, and showroom product. Aerial is for venue exteriors and rooftops. Compare the packages.
Frequently asked questions
Do you cover nightlife on the Sunset Strip?
Yes, that is one of our core areas. Night-of coverage, stories through the night, and a recap edit built to land while the night still sells the next one rather than the following week. Cadence is set around your calendar, whether that is every weekend, residencies, or one-off events.
Can you shoot inside a dark venue?
Yes, and it is the main reason venues hire a camera package rather than filming on a phone. Fast prime lenses and full-frame sensors hold detail at real club light levels, a small on-camera source keeps faces lit without looking like a news crew, and color gets corrected in the grade so the house LEDs do not turn everyone green.
Do you work with salons and beauty businesses in WeHo?
Yes. West Hollywood has some of the densest beauty retail in the county. The work is transformation content, stylist and practitioner personal brand, and chair-side footage. Color accuracy matters more here than almost anywhere, which usually points at the Studio package.
Is West Hollywood covered by an LA film permit?
No. West Hollywood is a separate city with its own permit office and its own rules, which catches people out. It rarely affects us, because we shoot inside your venue, salon, or showroom, and interiors on private property need no permit.
Can you fly a drone over the Strip?
Often yes for a venue exterior, and always only after clearing it. The Strip is dense and low-flying with residential immediately behind the commercial frontage, so we check the airspace and the location rules before the shoot date and tell you plainly if it cannot be flown.
Which package suits a West Hollywood business?
Usually a mix. Native carries stories, daytime volume, and the immediacy nightlife wants. Studio carries anything after dark, salon color work, and showroom product. Aerial covers venue exteriors and rooftops.
