San Gabriel ValleyWhy the neighborhood changes the work
The production model is the same everywhere: one shooting day a month at your business, a month of content out of it, and the account run for you in between. What changes between neighborhoods is more practical than most agencies admit.
Light and weather decide the schedule. Westside mornings sit under the marine layer well into June, so exteriors wait and interiors go first. The Valley runs hot enough that summer exteriors have to happen before mid-morning or they look and feel wrong. Neither is an excuse, both are just planning.
Permits vary by city, not by county. West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Culver City, Santa Monica, Pasadena, and Glendale are all separate municipalities with their own film offices and their own rules. It rarely affects us, because interiors and private property need no permit, but it does mean street footage cannot be improvised.
Airspace is genuinely uneven. The Valley sits under Van Nuys and Hollywood Burbank with real altitude ceilings. The Westside sits under LAX and Santa Monica. Downtown adds heliports and rooftop obstructions. Pasadena is comparatively open. We check the class for your exact address and clear the flight before the shoot date rather than on the morning.
Cadence expectations differ. A Pasadena professional practice posting five times a week reads as anxious. A Hollywood venue posting twice a week does not exist. We set the rhythm to the market, not to a template.
Everywhere else in the county
The eight above are where we shoot most often, and they are not the limit. Anywhere roughly within an hour of Downtown is inside our standard service area at no travel charge, including Venice, Marina del Rey, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Silver Lake, Echo Park, Los Feliz, Highland Park, Century City, Burbank, Encino, Woodland Hills, Manhattan Beach, and the wider South Bay.
Weddings and events travel further: Malibu, Ojai, Santa Barbara, Temecula, Orange County, and Palm Springs are all normal for us, quoted with the event.

Which parts of Los Angeles do you cover?
All of LA County. The Westside (Santa Monica, Venice, Marina del Rey, Culver City, Brentwood), Central and the Eastside (Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Hollywood, Silver Lake, Echo Park, Los Feliz, Downtown), the San Fernando Valley (Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Encino, Burbank, Woodland Hills), plus Pasadena, Glendale, and the South Bay. Roughly an hour from Downtown is our standard service area with no travel surcharge.
Do you charge extra for travel?
Not within about an hour of Downtown LA, which covers almost the entire county. Weddings and events further out, in Malibu, Ojai, Santa Barbara, Temecula, Orange County, or Palm Springs, are quoted with the event.
Do you actually come to my business?
Yes, every plan includes an on-location shooting day at your business. Content filmed where you actually operate outperforms studio content for local discovery, and it is the only way the footage looks like you rather than like stock.
Does my neighborhood change the price?
Not by itself. Price follows the camera package, how many platforms you run, and how much content you need each month. What the neighborhood changes is the plan: when we shoot, what we shoot, and how often you should post.
Do you need a film permit to shoot at my business?
Not for interiors or your own property, anywhere in the county. Several of the cities we work in are separate municipalities with their own film offices, so public street work needs planning, and we price and schedule any permit before building a concept around it.
Can you fly a drone in my area?
It depends on the address, and we check before promising. The Valley sits under Van Nuys and Hollywood Burbank, the Westside under LAX and Santa Monica, and Downtown adds heliports and rooftop obstructions. We check the airspace class for your exact address and request authorization ahead of the shoot date, and we say plainly when a location cannot be flown.
